Directing Experience

I have directed everything from full-scale musicals to intimate dramas, elementary and high-school school plays, to Zoom productions and everything in between. In addition to my position as Artistic Director of the Backyard Readers Theatre Lab, I serve on the board of the Junior Company Players in Fresno, and as one of the artistic leaders for UR Here an artists cooperative theatre Company based here in the Valley.

My directorial style emphasizes collaboration. It encourages the development of each individual artist as well as the creativity of designers and crew, as we all work together to launch a successful show. At my core I believe my job as the director is to help bring the story to life and focus on creating the world in which we can transport ourselves and see the world in a new way. Building a connection each piece with the actors and design team to  bring the audience along for the ride,  in hopes of transcending the world and allowing  the audience to see with a fresh eye…. or simply a laugh and escape for but a moment.
